On the Day of Pentecost, fifty days after Jesus rose from the dead, the disciples gathered in an upper room. They had remembered Jesus’ promise, and they were waiting for the Holy Spirit to come.
Suddenly, there was a sound from Heaven as a mighty rushing wind. It filled the house where the disciples were. Tongues like fire sat on each of the disciples. They were filled with the Holy Spirit!
